Here we go, on the door of festive season it’s time to enhance our ethnic collection. We keep on experimenting with the styles. Our wardrobes are a fusion of the mall and the street. Sometimes we have flared skirts; sometime our love is for lehngas, there are times when salwar kameez are in trend but what still remain is 6 yards of fabric. So this article is all about reality of such a fabric you be in the search of one. Particularly,  if you are well versed with the magnificence of Banarasi silks. We know this is era of new generation and too many transitions are quite explanatory.

These are heavy silk sarees which are weaved in Banaras but are normally used as bridal attire in Bengal. However, these days Bengali bride is experimenting with other fabrics too. The Banarasi have heavy gold wire woven within its texture in a pattern of jewellery or flower. We all know what is the pain for its gain to get this 5 kilos of fabric.

In this edition, I will take you through a mesmerizing voyage which enumerates the appreciation of this legendry fabric.
